Law Park Educational Trust reaches children in rural India — providing scholarships, supplies, and the belief that no child should be left behind.
From a single scholarship in Chickaballapur in 2016 to 10+ districts across Karnataka — here is what a decade looks like in numbers.
"When it comes to education, no child deserves to be left behind."
Scholarships are just the beginning. Every child we support gets supplies, counselling, cultural programmes, and a library — because education is more than fees.
We help children from rural areas across India get their right to education through funded scholarships, making quality education accessible.
Our team travels to rural areas to personally meet the children, understand their needs, and build meaningful connections with the communities we serve.
We distribute school bags, notebooks, pens, stationery, sanitary pads, drawing kits, and other essential supplies to support children's education.
We organize fun educational games and interactive activities that make learning enjoyable and help children develop critical thinking skills.
We share stories of language and culture, helping children understand their history. Children leave knowing their roots better.
We provide career counselling to 9th and 10th standard students, helping them make informed decisions about their future education and career paths.
We establish libraries in rural schools with donated books including story books, academic books, and unused notebooks, creating spaces for learning and exploration.
We organize community events, talent showcases, and interactive sessions where children can express themselves through singing, dancing, and other activities.
We offer parent counselling to support families in understanding their children's educational needs, fostering a supportive home environment for learning.
School principals, well-wishers, and citizens of communities nominate deserving students from income deprived backgrounds who need financial support to continue their education.
We visit to location, gather the students with parents in one place and interview each student nominated and their parents to verify the genuineness of their case and help them financially for their education.
We take the children under our folds and pay up to 75% of their tuition fees at their current school. The parents will cover the remaining part of the tuition fees to ensure their involvement in educating their children. We believe that anything given for fully free will have no value.
Our team will pay the school fees directly to the school rather than giving them to the parents to prevent misappropriation of the funds. As a result, students can focus solely on their studies without constantly worrying about finances, tap into their fullest potential and thrive throughout their academic careers.
From our first scholarship in 2016 to supporting 550+ students across Karnataka.

Names have been withheld to protect privacy. These are real stories of children and families we support.

Father expired while the child was 8 years old. When the child was to write her 10th final exams, mother was diagnosed with stroke which later was diagnosed with brain tumour. No financial help from any of her relatives. Law Park Educational Trust helped this child study till 12th. May 2025 her mother expired. We decided to completely bring this child to our care, but her disappeared relatives appeared and wanted her to get married. We stood for this child and now this child is completely under our care and she is doing her under graduation happily.

Mother of these children (one female and one male child) expired due to illness. Same year father expired due to depression. The children’s uncle (mother’s younger brother) is taking care of them. He decided not to marry and his only wish is to take care of these children. But his poverty is a biggest challenge. They are now under our care.

This child is taken care by her grandmother. Mother left this child and married another. Father doesn’t even care about this child and stays away somewhere. Her grandmother at this old age earns for this child’s future and takes care of the child.
Husband expired due to HIV. Mother is also an HIV patient so she has to consume heavy dosage of tablets which makes her dizzy all day, still working as a coolie. They live in a broken house. Last year even that broken house collapsed completely and now they live in a shelter.
This girl discontinued her education just to take care of her siblings. She works as a coolie. They lost their parents at a very young age. We initially thought the scholarship was for this child, but she pointed it to her siblings. Now all three are going to school.
Mother died due to gas cylinder burst. Father married another and left this child abandoned. Either side grandparents expired. Some extended relative takes care of this child even though they themselves are under poverty.
Well-wishers of this mother arranged marriage to an elderly physically challenged person. He harassed her every single day. One day he hit her so hard that the mother became mentally challenged and he absconded. She is not able to recognise her own son.
Mother expired. Father is a heart patient. He lost one leg but still manages to drive auto for livelihood. He is the father of 4 female children. In every single gap of his work he also takes care of the household chores. All his 4 children are very good at studies.
Mother is blind. Father left the family. With grandmother’s idli shop they survive.
A tender coconut seller accidentally chopped his hand and due to severe infection he expired. Mother is suffering from the loss; we support the family.
Moments from our journey - the smiles, the learning, and the impact we've created together.

Charulatha, Founder of Law Park Educational Trust, during her young age used to teach poor children in her locality free of cost. That was the foundation to start this Educational Trust in the name of Law Park Educational Trust. She did her B.A Economics, Chennai and did her L.LB., at Bengaluru and completed with PGDIPRL in National Law School of India, University, Bengaluru. Charulatha, always encouraged children to study and many times she would pay fees to those children even before she started this Trust. Most of the times she is surrounded with children asking doubts in their studies which continued even today.
